Laia Lopez was born in a town near of Valencia in 1983. She studied Industrial Design in the Superior College of Tecnology and Experimental Sciences (Castellón, Jaume I University), where got good marks in Ergonomy, Design for the Environment, Volume design,…

The last year in the college, Laia received a studentship/grant to go, to stand and study during six months in Salford University of Manchester (School of Art & Design).

During these years, she hasn’t stopped enrolling courses to improve her skills: painting courses, web design,… And also doing little works like freelance: building rendering, corporate identities for small companies…

In 2006, Laia moves to Barcelona looking for more and fresh knowledge. She found that in new studies: Superior Graduate in Design. In this studies, she had subjects and teachers so remarkable as: Editorial Design by América Sánchez, Exhibitions Design by Ferran Morgui, Product Design by Martín Ruíz de Azúa, Sound and environment by Francesc Daumal, Corporate Identity by Josep Marc and Emma Camacho, Graphic design by Roseta Mus, Public Spaces Design by Alfons Soldevila, Fashion Design by Josep Lacomba…

At the same time, she had a job like graphic designer in a department on the university. She organized some of the events realized in the university and designs all the graphic advertisements (posters, flyers,…) to promote it.

At the end of the studies, she made her final project what consist in a gadget for the pet transport. The project tutors were Gerard Moliné and Guillem Ferran.

Nowadays Laia is working with Guillem Ferran in “Oficis Singulars” a catalan government project to impulse the old artcrafts with the current design. And she is collaborating with some graphic projects with Reactiva, a young comunication company and she is expecting for new amazing challenges.
